10. The Links Golf Course

A truly unique round in a tropical setting

Cana Bay  presents golfers of all levels with a challenge at each hole, due to winds blowing through native tropical vegetation extending right up to the edge of the fairways, and no rough so that straight-hitting is at a premium.

The course lives up to its rock ‘n’ roll name - each hole is named after a famous rock song, and putts roll pretty fast on the slick but small, sloping greens.

There are also several blind shots adding to the challenge of this 7,253-yard layout.

LAYOUT OFFERS FUN AND CHALLENGE FOR ALL

With wide fairways giving way to challenging green complexes highlighted by tricky, undulating putting surfaces, The Links golf course showcases the artistry of Pete Dye’s genius.

This shot makes 18 weaves through our beautiful, verdant resort grounds while offering spectacular vistas of the Caribbean Sea from several holes.

Ideal for golfers of all abilities, the gracefully hilly layout, with tall Bahia grass framing Dye’s sculpted bunkers, plays from just over 7,000 yards from the back tees to a slope of 126.

Golf at the hotel

This spectacular golf course has been redesigned and remodeled by renowned architect P.B. Dye.

At 6,655 yards from the pro tees, the 18-hole, par 72 golf course was designed to accommodate all levels of play.

Set in a lush mangrove forest, the course features 25 beautiful lakes and 122 strategically placed sand traps.

Taking advantage of the natural beauty of the Bávaro area, the design incorporates native species and plants around the greens.

Nick Price went to great lengths to make his mark

Fairways wind their way through native vegetation and rocky outcrops, with many of the holes skirting wetland and large sandy waste areas.

Natural hazards are plentiful but playing corridors are wide enough to allow golfers of all abilities to enjoy a round here.

Three of the five par threes on the card are found on the back nine – the island green of the signature 15th is surrounded by sand – and these short holes are cleverly counter balanced by a trio of testing par fives at holes 12, 14 and 17.

This Nick Price designed 18-hole golf course measures 7,174 yards from the black tees, and carries a rating of 74.1 with a slope of 123.

13. La Estancia Golf Course

14. Catalonia Caribe Golf Course

14. Catalonia Caribe Golf Course

Views for days at La Estancia

Paul Burke Dye, the youngest son of Pete and Alice Dye, designed the 18-hole layout at La Estancia Golf Resort.

Set within a residential estate on an undulating landscape near the Chavón River and the beautiful Tanama ravine, the fairways are routed around a number of canyons and gullies.

The short par three 5th is a standout hole on the front nine, playing downhill to a raised green that’s perched on the edge of a gorge.

Water comes into play at the last two holes on the card; at the 17th, a pond  fronts the right  hand  side of the putting surface and a small lake runs down the left side of the fairway from tee to green on the home hole.

Play golf under the Dominican sun

This 18 holes golf course, Par 72, was designed by Alberto Solá, with the cooperation of the late Jack Corrie.

The main feature of this course, like hole 6 which  has one of the greens on an  island in an artificial lake, and hole 13, which plays up a tall hill that provides gorgeous views over the course, is its horizontal width, which allows room for the player to maneuver, without ceasing to be a very challenging course.

The greens are fast, with narrow fairways, and each hole is a surprise.

The course's variety will appeal to every golfer.

15. Las Iguanas Golf Course

14. Catalonia Caribe Golf Course

15. Las Iguanas Golf Course

Las Iguanas is a gem inside Cap Cana

The layout of the Jack Nicklaus designed Las Iguanas golf course presents an eclectic test with 3 oceanside holes (12 thru 14) hugging the rocky shoreline.

Las Iguanas will challenge your golfing skills in a mainly open-parkland setting, where water hazards are deployed, and bunkers crafted in true Nicklaus style.

Part of the course skirts a nature preserve marked by indigenous vegetation, wetland settings, and caves that shelter iguanas, and other native wildlife.
