Destination Punta Cana was founded by a group of travel enthusiasts with a passion for exploring the world, and learning about, and experiencing new cultures.
We believe that when you go on a vacation to a different country, that you should leave that country with something more than that which you went there with:
having tried some new foods and learnt how to cook them,
having learnt how to dance to a different style of music,
having learnt how to speak some words in a different language,
having met some new people, spent some time with them, learnt about them, their customs, their life, and their lifestyle - where they live, how they live, and shared some about your life and lifestyle with them
thereby gaining an insight, some understanding and appreciation of the people, their lives and times, and their culture,
Our goal at Destination Punta Cana is to share our love of travel with others and to help them to create unforgettable memories - not only of places and events, but also of people, meetings, relationships, experiences, and exposure to new and different cultures.
With that in mind, Destination Punta Cana also offers a unique all-inclusive, cultural vacation experience called The Culture Trip:
where you get to live life - in a limited context - as a Dominican,
where your breakfasts, lunches, and dinners are all authentic, traditional Dominican meals, at least 1 of which is made every day in the kitchen of your apartment
where your accommodations are provided in the same residential complex as Dominicans - a complex which is gated, has nighttime security, and comes complete with a pool,
so you get to:
live where they live,
eat what they eat,
drink what they drink,
shop where they shop (find bargains in stores which tourists never go to)
play where they play, and
go where they go (layout on a deserted beach, swim in a river which only Dominicans know about).
